Cramerton Middle School
Cramerton Middle School Paideia ambassadors are pictured.

Cramerton Middle School is a leader in innovative teaching and learning. It is one of only six schools in North Carolina to earn the Paideia Seminar Nationally Certified School distinction and one of three to receive Paideia Classroom certification. In 2025-26, the school was also named a National Paideia School for Creative Thinking, the only accredited middle school in the state with this honor.

At Cramerton Middle School, we are proud to be named a Unified Champion School by Special Olympics North Carolina. Over the past year, we have hosted activities that bring all students together, including a unified volleyball event and weekly club meetings that focus on fun, friendship and teamwork.

Cramerton Middle School placed first in the Math Elite competition.

Cramerton Middle is No. 1 among middle schools for highest student proficiency. We exceeded our academic growth expectations, and we are the only middle school with a B school performance grade, which is difficult to achieve. We also rank No. 1 among all traditional (non-magnet) schools for highest student proficiency!

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

Board of Education Meeting Canceled

The Gaston County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday, July 20 has been canceled. The Board’s next regular meeting will be held on August 17 with committee meetings scheduled for August 3.

Camp Cramerton

We invite all sixth grade parents and students to join us for Camp Cramerton on Monday, Aug. 10. Students with last names A-K should attend from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., and students with last names L-Z should attend from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. This event is a great opportunity to pick up your schedule, meet your teachers, tour the school, meet administrators and staff, and learn about the programs and activities available for students.

7th–8th Grade Open House (A–K and L–Z)

Cramerton Middle School is excited to welcome our 7th and 8th grade families to Open House!

Students with last names A–K are invited to join us on Monday, August 10 from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., and students with last names L–Z are invited from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms and get ready for a fantastic school year.

Gifted and Talented Academy

We’re home to the Gifted and Talented Academy. Our academy is built on the highly successful Paideia Seminar model, which helps students think deeply and work together.

Earn High School Credit

Students at Cramerton Middle have the opportunity to get a head start on high school by taking courses like English 9, Math I, Spanish I and World History. These classes help prepare students for more advanced studies when they move on to high school.

Clubs and Activities

Cramerton Middle School offers a variety of clubs, including Beta Club, Art Club and Eagle Pride Club. Students can also take part in Battle of the Books, Math Elite and robotics.

Athletics

Cramerton Middle School offers a strong athletics program where students develop teamwork, leadership and school pride. Our teams have celebrated county championships in both golf, volleyball and boys’ soccer.
